Egg Nog Directions
Beat yolks until light in color. Slowly add bourbon, cognac, while beating at slow speed. Chill 3 hrs. Add salt to whites, beat to peaks. Whip s cream until stiff. Fold whipped cream into yolk mixture, then fold in the beaten egg whites. Chill one hour. Serve with nutmeg sprinkled on top. For thinner mixture add 1 or 2 cups of milk. Serve in a punch bowl or another big bowl.
Eggnog: This as a dairy based non-alcoholic sweetened drink made of milk, sugar and beaten egg. Cream is also used in addition to milk to make it richer, and is topped with vanilla and whipped cream. The origin and purpose of creating this drink are disputdr but however this has become a popular drink in all of Americas and especially so, during the Christmas gathering. To make alcoholic Eggnogs, whisky, rum, brandy or different types liqueurs are added.
